About Robert Rosenbaum

Bob Rosenbaum received lay entrustment in Soto Zen from Sojun Mel Weitsman, denkai in Ordinary Mind Zen from Karen Terzano, and is an heir of Grandmaster Hui Liu in Dayan Qigong. Professionally, Bob is a semi-retired neuropsychologist and psychotherapist but continues to teach and consult on pain management and on single-session psychotherapy. <br /> <br /> Bob is committed to lay practice, and is a founding member of the Lay Zen Teachers Association. He established the Meadowmind sangha in the Sierra foothills and is now expanding that sangha offering Ordinary Mind Zen in Sacramento. He lives in Sacramento with his wife Jeanne and enjoy family practice with his daughters and grandchildren nearby. <br /> <br /> Bob's books include Zen and the Heart of Psychotherapy, Walking the Way: 81 Zen Encounters with the Tao Te Ching, What’s Wrong with Mindfulness (and what isn’t), co-edited with Barry Magid, and most recently That Is Not Your Mind! - Zen Reflections on the Surangama Sutra
