Berkeley Zen Center invites younger practitioners and beginners to join us in open discussion groups about Zen Buddhism, meditation, and developing a personal practice. Our aim is to cultivate “Kalyana Mitta,” spiritual friendship, to provide members with the opportunity to meet others in their age group and similar situations to support each other in bringing Zen practice more fully into our daily lives. This group was formerly known as the 20s-30s group but we have expanded the age range to be more inclusive.

On Thursdays when there isn’t Group Dokusan evening after Zazen we have an informal meetup. This is a great time to drop-in and get to know the Younger community at BZC. We have also added a Sunday meetup for the weeks when Group Dokusan is occuring. Please join our listserve to stay up to date!
