Berkeley Zen Center invites younger practitioners and beginners to join us in open discussion groups about Zen Buddhism, meditation, and developing a personal practice. Our aim is to cultivate “Kalyana Mitta,” spiritual friendship, to provide members with the opportunity to meet others in their age group and similar situations to support each other in bringing Zen practice more fully into our daily lives.

Every Thursday evening after Zazen we have an informal meetup. This is a great time to drop-in and get to know the Younger community at BZC. (Thursdays from 6:30-7:20pm)

In addition to the YEBZ meetups, we will meet the 4th Saturdays of the month (from 11:45-1:15) except for a few weekends where there are holidays or sesshins. The following dates are the planned YEBZ dharma study group dates:

1/25/20, 2/22/20, 3/28/20, 4/25/20, 5/16/20* (moved due to Memorial day 5/23), 6/27/20, 7/18/20* (moved due to Mountains & Rivers 7/26), 8/22/20, 9/26/20, 10/24/20, 11/21/20* (moved due to Thanksgiving 11/28), 12/12/20* (moved due to Holidays 12/26)
