Women's Sesshin

Sun, Apr 11, 2021

The Spring women’s sesshin will be led this year by Kosei Laurie Senauke.  This is a day devoted to exploring women’s experiences and understanding the Dharma in the context of the increasing participation of women, lay and ordained, in the practice of Buddhism. How do we as women find and express our true selves within a tradition that has been male dominant, and at the same time appreciate the gifts of the tradition?

Laurie is a long-time Berkeley Zen Center student and priest.  She is currently also BZC’s treasurer and is sewing for dharma transmission with Steve Weintraub.

If you have questions or wish to sign up, please contact Shinko Sewa Leslie Bartholic:  lbartholic@comcast.net.
